The Japanese attacked us all with bomb and bayonet.
Many died at Hickam Field, Iwo Jima
and Bataan,
Corregidor, the Philippines, Okinawa and on Guam.
Now, our "friends", the Japanese want a different peace;
A PIECE of this a PIECE of that; their holdings sure increase!
They're buying up our factories, our media and our farms.
When will our busy leaders sound some real alarms?
Not long ago we were leaders in most of foreign trade
We were the biggest creditors, exported what we made.
From creditor to BORROWER in just a few short years.
We're facing real disaster but we just drink our beers!
And now, Chinese, Taiwanese and other eager beavers,
Sell us stuff WE used to make, from VCR's to cleavers.
What happened to our factories? Our productivity?
Greed and goof-off-itis ruined them and sent them overseas.
Wake up, smug America, the time is getting late,
If you don't learn from history we face a terrible fate.
Don't look to foreign foes on whom to cast the blame.
The fault is ours, the enemy US -- and we must bear the shame
REMEMBER!. . .
Even those Japanese or other foreigners
who set up factories here and hire some Americans for "show"
. . . their PROFITS go HOME WITH THEM!
(We're becoming their Third World colony)
